We’re so excited to feature Taste of the Town on our cover, “it’s back,” and just around the corner on May 1, Santa Clarita is buzzing with anticipation with the announcement of its new location at Blomgren Ranch! Do you like to have fun? Don’t forget to attend Soroptimist International of Valencia’s Gentlemen For A Cause “An Evening in Monte Carlo” on May 22 at the Embassy Suites in Valencia, when ten gentlemen will brave it all by donating their time and talents and offering great auction items. This is a very fun event that you won’t want to miss!
If you love walking, the Michael Hoefflin Childhood Cancer Foundation aims to raise $75,000 during their 4MHF Walk on April 30. This year, the event will take place at College of the Canyons Cougar Stadium. MHF helps local families battling childhood cancer, this is your opportunity to support a wonderful cause.
Continuing the marching theme, mark your calendar for May 14 in Central Park when the American Cancer Society invites the community to join the world’s largest fundraising event, Relay For Life, taking place in Central Park. The day promises to be a family event with live entertainment, games, raffles, food trucks and lots of fun.
Also in Central Park, don’t miss the 3rd Annual SCV Veg Fest scheduled for June 4. Founder Jess Guidroz is passionate about his vegan lifestyle, however, SCV Veg Fest was created with the community in mind – meaning it’s not just for vegan people. Veg Fest is a food, beer, wine and music festival. Attendees can expect a combination of over 100 participating restaurants, vendors and food trucks, live music, and a variety of local craft beer and wine vendors.
