When Frank and Sonya Pacera opened Heavens Marketplace in Myrtle Beach in mid-summer 2020, their entire future hinged on its success. Now, just two years later, the husband and wife team just held a grand opening for a second location in Mount Pleasant. The new space is complete with more room for interior decor, furniture, whimsical beach signs, and tons of unique gifts from local artists. It doesn’t lack that famous South Carolina flavor and feel.
“We love the Charleston area and have found the perfect place to expand in what was once Boone Hall Market,” Frank Pacera said. “A new investor recently purchased the property and we met with them in March to discuss our concept, and they loved it.”
This concept contains 10,000 square feet and a wide assortment of offerings, including:
Country style furniture
Candles for all occasions
Metal car coolers and sitting sirens
Good Works Jewelry
Faith-Inspired and Faith-Based Products

Heavens Marketplace also has something for everyone this upcoming holiday season. Jewelry, flowers, wreaths, accessories, candles, fashion apparel, seasonal decor, and an extensive faith-inspired inventory dot the retail space. These offerings reflect both Paceras’ brand name and approach.
“Each week we bring in items to keep our inventory fresh and new,” Sonya Pacera said. “We also plan to hold workshops and spaces where people can sit, have a coffee, read our prayer trees and just feel relaxed in our setting.”
The Paceras have come a long way from the uncertainty they faced when they launched their first store at Tanger Outlet 17 in Myrtle Beach. This first store is similar to the new one in Mount Pleasant, but as with any new business, they had no guarantee of revenue and only hoped to make an impact.
“Honestly, we didn’t know what to expect when we started – we tested a small location for the first store at Barefoot Landing before moving to Tangier,” Sonya Pacera said. “Now I can say it’s been a real blessing to be where we are today.”
The new location will allow for vendor events, classes, and things the Paceras said they hadn’t even thought of yet. But with a taller building, local history and the surrounding environment of Mount Pleasant, the new Heavens Marketplace will allow locals and visitors alike to immerse themselves in Lowcountry relaxation – and once you feel it, you may want to -be stay very long time.
“So many people tell us they could spend hours enjoying the inspiring vibe we’ve created on Heavens Marketplace,” said Sonya Pacera. “And every time a customer comes up to us and says, ‘I love your store; it’s so uplifting, it’s the best part of our day.
