Bedrock Manufacturing Co., the parent company of Shinola and Filson in Detroit, has announced that it has appointed Michele Santana as the company’s chief financial officer.
Santana brings more than two decades of executive leadership experience in finance, strategy and compliance. Most recently, she served as Chief Financial Officer of Majestic Steel in Cleveland, a nationwide private market leader in the distribution and processing of flat rolled steel.
“I am very happy to join the BMC team,” says Santana. “I think the potential for growth and value creation is enormous, given the talent and passion of the team at Shinola and Filson, as well as the significant branding opportunity that lies ahead. I am confident that we can develop and execute plans to generate sustainable and consistent growth in the future. “
Prior to Majestic, Santana was CFO of Signet Jewelers, an international publicly traded jeweler. Signet operates nine retail brands in its 3,500 stores, including Kay Jewelers, Jared, Zale’s, and has more than 29,000 employees.
“Michele compliments our strong performance-based culture, is results-driven and is exactly what we need to lead us to sustained long-term growth,” said Mark Light, Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of BMC .
