Now Open: Sweet Ivy – Mpls.St.Paul Magazine

A new local has landed at Galleria.

A Sweet ivy, now open at Edina Luxury Center, is the brainchild of Becky Leffer and sister store to Sweet Nautical at Excelsior. Leffer runs her stores with her social media-savvy daughter, Abby, and daughter-in-law (and store manager), Dana. “They balance my classic look with a bit of edge,” says Leffer. “We really play against each other.”

The strong point of the concept is casual clothing and accessories for women at a bridge price and with a feminine and tailored vibe. Think: a touch of the south in the north: rattan bags, preppy knitwear, floral dresses and blouses, colorful sandals and cozy loungewear sets. Leffer offers a similar assortment to Sweet Nautical, with a few special pieces suitable for a Galleria customer.

Brands featured include E.Newton, Spartina 449, Leather and linen company., Pendleton, south tideand barefoot dreams. “I love introducing lines that aren’t widely recognized in the North,” says Leffer. She also brought a small curated list of local designers, including Winifred Designtrendy jewelry made from repurposed buttons and tags by authentic designers like Chanel, Dior and Prada, and Gabriela Ephrema creator of leather shoes in small series with sculptural details.
