The 54th edition of IHGF Delhi Fair – Autumn 2022, organized by the Indian Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts, ended on October 18 after 5 days of exhibitor and buyer activity at India Expo Center & Mart, Greater Noida Expressway, New Delhi NCR. Overseas buyers from 98 countries had access to products from 3,000 exhibitors across India, spread across 16 halls and 12 display categories, reflecting India’s diversity of craftsmanship. Products included housewares, home furnishings, furniture, gifts and decorations, lamps and lighting, Christmas and party decoration, jewelry and fashion accessories, spa and well -being, rugs and carpets, bathroom accessories, garden accessories, toys and educational games, handmade paper. products & stationery and leather bags.
A regional handicraft-themed pavilion showcased artisans and entrepreneurs from across India with product ranges from primary producers in remote handicraft villages as well as innovations from EPCH’s integrated design development projects , making sourcing a wholesome experience at the IHGF fair in Delhi. Knowledge seminars and a panel discussion were enthusiastically attended by participants which were held on a variety of topics relevant to the benefit of trade. The fair also featured ramp displays, bringing several of the fair’s exhibitor collections to life.
Frequented by the international sourcing community as a leading business platform of its kind, this world-renowned show in this edition has garnered orders, inquiries and accolades. As exhibitors went the extra mile to create unique and exceptional displays to engage and attract buyers, new product innovations created more business as many added to their buyer lists. Each edition brings something or the other to marvel at, reported regular visitors. Pleased with the fair’s large size and seamless layout with large spaces categorizing major product segments, this edition proved to be a refreshing and welcome change for many IHGF customers who visited after a break. a few seasons. Eco-friendly and natural ranges of home and lifestyle products such as selected basketry and household items made from jute, hemp, coarse riverside grass, cane and bamboo, etc. . have been sought. European shoppers purchased interesting furniture, home accessories, gift products, housewares, bags and Christmas accessories, among other home products. Textile lovers appreciated the variety of home furnishings as well as kitchen linens. Those looking for accessories like scarves, stoles and shawls also expressed satisfaction with the options they saw. The 55th Spring Edition of IHGF Delhi Fair is scheduled for March 15-19, 2023 at the same iconic venue. Organizers are striving to make it a bigger and more spectacular mega show, structured with a larger display of exhibitors, themed and group exhibits, multiple organized lines and design affirmations.
