The Accessories Council announced its fourth annual Design Excellence Awards on Wednesday. Held at the offices of Fashionphile, the awards recognize innovative new designs in numerous categories encompassing the wide range of the accessories industry.
Rewards are often divided by award tier and category. For example, Kimberly Pucci won for handbags over $1,000, while Hammitt won for designs under $1,000.
Franco Sarto and Mia Becar won in the shoe categories; Colette Malouf, Shahla Karimi and Anna Zuckerman in the jewelry categories; Monica Rich Kosann for technology and innovation; Gigi Burris in soft accessories; American Optical and Carolina Herrera in eyewear; R.Riveter for social impact and KHB Magnum for sustainability.
“This year we had hundreds of entries and over 10,000 people voted for their favorite brands. We were delighted to see the dynamic mix of winners this year – our group included companies large and small, new and established and from entry level to luxury. The purpose of the awards is to give finalists and winners the opportunity to showcase their designs at the start of the holiday shopping season. We congratulate all finalists and winners,” said Karen Giberson, Chair of the Accessories Council.
