The International Grown Diamond Association (IGDA) has launched IGDA 2.0, which is a completely revamped version of the trade association aimed at supporting and serving the growing lab-grown diamond industry.
“IGDA 2.0 will provide targeted services to support the growing number of global lab-grown diamond companies,” said Dick Garard, Executive Director of IGDA.
“We have an aggressive strategic plan that begins with the participation of the entire global laboratory-grown diamond industry, many long-standing supporters and the welcome addition of new, younger members. “
The event was marked by the launch of its new website, the announcement of a new large-scale advisory board, the distribution of a new point of sale to consumers and promotional material, training of sellers and a new network of international sections.
Other priorities of the association include consumer education and the international promotion of lab-created diamonds.
“It is clear that consumer interest in the category of lab-grown diamonds is growing rapidly and globally,” said Anna-Mieke Anderson, founder and CEO of the lab-grown diamond retailer in the United States, MiaDonna. At the store.
“In response to consumer demand, there has been a significant increase in the number of retailers stocking the product, as well as an increase in the number of designers and manufacturers incorporating lab-grown diamonds into jewelry styles.”
IGDA was established in 2016 as a non-profit group to serve as a center for education, communication and development of the laboratory-created diamond industry around the world.
